Pop Ups & Drop Downs

You’ve probably seen or used pop ups and dropdown on many of the websites you visit daily as its traditionally a great way for businesses to engage clients and reveal more information about a product or service without taking up a huge amount of real estate on your webpage. However, modern website design can be far more intuitive and can deliver your business message in many different ways from what you may have seen on some older websites.

This is the same for drop boxes and pop ups, you are no longer limited to a simply drop window with some additional text, you can now make your pops and drops really stand out.

Below we have created a few different scenarios that can encourage interesting and engaging experiences for your business. .

Note: Some of the examples are using multiple features and customisation which isn’t reflected in the plug in price, please contact us for more info.

Full Caption Pop Up

In this example we’ve created a full image pop up caption around the idea of an album cover. The captions can be fully hidden, or partially in view to encourage a click, can be fully styled to fit in with your website and can also be inverted so the caption can drop down from the top.

Space within the caption is only limited by the size of your image and can carry features like secondary images, animations, text and redirection or a purchase button.

Depending on what your are displaying within the pop up, some variable content maybe required for mobile devices to account for limitations with screen size, so check this example of your phone as well as your desktop to see how it seamlessly switches between the two.

Note: This example would utilise multiple plug in options in addition to the pop up price, all buy now and links are switched off.

Simple Pop

Simple pops are great for all types of websites but are especially popular for highlighting pricing or specials on eCommerce platforms or to redirect clients to further information by way of a link.

They’re designed to be simple and effective rather than complicated but for our example we thought we’d display a pop up with the addition of other features like highlighted and multi layered images to show what can be done to make your product stand out.

Note: This example would utilise multiple plug in options in addition to the pop up price and all links are switched off.

Drop Down Example

This is an example of activating a drop down using a hotspot.

This is great for adding additional information to images, highlight products on a page or creating location information to a map that can also include links & videos.

Example Information & Image

You can add whatever information you like top pop ups so be creative

Pop & Drop with a Spot

You’re not limited to activating pop ups and drop downs with just a button, image or hover effect, you can also be really creative with the use hot spots.

Hots spots can activate multiple triggers on a primary image to highlight information, videos, drop downs and locations and are perfect for maps and attractions or for more in depth/focused information and technical data on products like cars or real estate.

In this example with created 3 different types of triggers to activate a video, a pop up and a drop down all on the same image.

To see another hotspot example please view our
Maps & Hotspot page.

Note: This example would utilise multiple plug in options in addition to the pop up price and links are switched off.

Instead of a button, Use your images to activate a dropdown to reveal more information about your products, services, contact information or even a buy now button.

Drop Downs

Drop Downs are pretty common on websites and are generally activated by a button, in this example of how you can make a drop down stand out a little more we’ve created two options for you to try.

Firstly a traditional button to reveal a clean central dropdown with an image rather than just text and secondly we created the reverse by using an image to activate the drop down and reveal a secondary image and some text.

Both option create clean and fast loading content that can help you to retain your clients interest in your web page and potentially lead them to hit that contact button.
